Is my data really hosted in South Africa? +
Yes. Your grants, documents and donor records live in Google Cloud’s Johannesburg region, never the US or Europe. Cross-border transfers under POPIA section 72 simply never arise.
What happens when the power goes out? +
Claripick Grants is built offline-first. The app keeps working through load shedding. Your edits queue safely on your device and sync the moment connectivity returns.
Do paid plans need a credit card to start? +
No. Pro and Fund begin with a full 14-day trial and no card. Billing is in Rand through local payment rails, and you can cancel any time.
What is the SA Compliance Engine? +
You enter your NPO number, CIPC date, PBO status and B-BBEE affidavit date once. The engine then generates your statutory deadlines automatically: the DSD annual report nine months after year-end, the CIPC 30-business-day window, SARS IT3(d) on 31 May and 31 October including mandatory nil returns, and 12-month validity renewals. Every deadline carries its legal citation.
