Can we put Claripick in a funder budget?

Yes, and most funders expect to see it. Grant management and statutory compliance software is an allowable administration cost in the large majority of South African funder budget templates, including the NLC, the NDA and most corporate CSI programmes. Every funder sets its own admin percentage, so check the call document. The wording to paste is in the block above.

What is between free and R 850 a month?

Small, at R 249 a month. The free plan keeps your statutory register in full: every DSD, CIPC, SARS, B-BBEE and PAIA date with the section of the Act it comes from, the whole reminder ladder, the governance register, the document vault and the audit trail. What it does not carry is grant management: the funder register, grant records and the pipeline are what Small adds, along with unlimited funders and grants, 5 seats, 2 GB of vault, NLC cooling-off timers, the answer library and the Monday digest.

Do you charge per user?

No. Every plan is priced per organisation. On Pro and Fund seats are unlimited: your treasurer, your board members and your auditor each get a login at no extra cost, because they are the people who need to see the numbers without asking you for a PDF. Starter and Small carry seat counts of 2 and 5 as size limits, not as a per-user charge.

Do applicants pay to apply to a fund on Claripick?

Never. When a fund publishes a call through the portal, applying is free for the applying organisation, always, on every plan. The fund pays for the platform; the NPOs applying to it do not.

Is my data really hosted in South Africa?

Yes. Your grants, documents and donor records live in Google Cloud's Johannesburg region, africa-south1. Three narrow things happen outside the country: sign-in holds only your email and account id, reminder emails carry titles and dates but never financial or beneficiary detail, and an optional accounting sync reads only the ledger lines you tag. Each is disclosed under POPIA section 72 in the privacy notice, and the full picture is on the trust page.

Do paid plans need a card to start?

No. Small and Pro begin with a free trial and no card. The trial does not run for a fixed fortnight: it runs until a week after the first statutory deadline Claripick computes for you, so you see the reminders fire and file the thing before you are asked to pay. It is never shorter than 30 days and never longer than 120. Fund starts with a conversation, because setting up a grantmaking programme is not a self-serve job. Billing is in Rand, and you can cancel at any time. Card payments are not switched on yet: when your trial ends, email hello@claripick.com and we will invoice you by EFT.

Why does Fund start at R 4 999 a month?

Because it is a different product. Fund is the whole Grantmaker Suite: publish calls, take thousands of applications through screening, scoring, due diligence and board approval, then pay in tranches with dual sign-off and validate field evidence before the next payment. It is priced from R 4 999 a month, or R 4 166 a month when billed annually, rather than at a fixed figure because onboarding a grantmaking programme depends on how many calls you run and how your disbursement approvals are structured.

Can we change plans later?

Any time. Upgrades apply immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of the billing period. Annual billing gives you two months free.

Unlimited vault storage on Fund is subject to fair use. Rolling out means built and being switched on for customers in stages.
